It's a great day to be at Ride!!
Welcome to Ms. Newhouse's Music Class!

My name is Melissa Newhouse, and I am the new music teacher at Ride Elementary!  I graduated May 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music Education from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.  My alma mater is Conroe High School, and I was fortunate to do my student teaching at The Woodlands High School and Coulson Tough Elementary in Conroe ISD as well.  I have a brother who is entering his freshman year at Baylor University (Sic 'Em Bears!!!).  Even though I am primarily a choir person and love singing, I played the flute from 5th grade all the way to 12th.  I am happy to be back home in such a distinguished district for education, and I am looking forward to making beautiful music with your children this year!
